Editorial: Human-Centered Intelligence and Cross-Disciplinary Design Innovation

Abstract

This issue of Big.D examines the convergence of artificial intelligence, human-centered design, healthcare technologies, intelligent systems, and interdisciplinary innovation. The studies address AI-enabled healthcare, sleep detection, brain stimulation, sensing, mental-health support, smart-city navigation, flexible electronics, and interactive installations. Together, they show how design connects advanced technologies with human physiological, cognitive, behavioral, and social needs. The issue reinforces Big.D’s mission to advance design-enabled engineering through computational intelligence, technical implementation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and solutions to complex societal challenges in diverse application contexts.
